The Sales Executive will sell research and data collection to new clients. Specific services include online research and data collection, specialty web panels, traditional phone data collection and some industry-specific research applications. Relocation is not required,
but extensive travel is essential for this position.
- Develop, manage and grow both new and existing client relationships.
- Contact clients often via phone, Internet, email or onsite visits.
- Obtain essential contacts at businesses and promote the value of FGI research for their business.
- Continuously generate target lists and perform lead generation activities. Must be a "self-starter". Existing research buyer relationships is preferred.
- Manage prospect pipeline from interest (establishing relationship), and development (understanding need), to close.
- Develop and support various research projects that have been created and sold to directly relate to the customer's needs.
- Keep informed of changes, new offerings and other company information of interest to customers.
- Continuously develop new methods of targeting new customers and retaining current business.
- 5+ years of proven research sales success and experience selling data collection required.
- Experience selling online market research is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of marketing and marketing research concepts.
- Successful direct selling and cold calling skills.
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience; successful and proven history in sales.
