Custom Panels

FGI builds and maintains custom (or proprietary) panels for many Fortune 100 and 500 companies. Multi-Modal Data Collection

Many clients require more than one method of data collection to optimally execute their research. An example of this is a very complex survey that would be cost prohibitive on the telephone, but would be easy to complete on paper. For a study like this, FGI would recommend a phone recruit with a mail follow-up, a web recruit with a mail follow-up, or some other combination. In any case, FGI's ability to execute your study across a variety of modes ensures that you will always get an objective recommendation. And that is something that FGI's more one-dimensional competitors cannot guarantee.

Focus Groups: Online and In-Person

FGI offers both online and traditional in-person focus groups. Unlike quantitative methods, focus groups allow the users, rather than the interviewer, to determine what the important issues are for discussion and further exploration. FGI has deep experience conducting both exploratory and experiential focus groups. Exploratory focus groups are ideal for discussing customer needs and refining new product concepts. Experiential focus groups are best suited for observing customers' product usage patterns and preferences and for understanding product purchase motivations.

Data Delivery and Integration

At FGI, we collaborate closely with our customers from developing the survey instrument to collecting the data, all the way through analyzing and reporting the final results. We output to all standard and custom platforms, including SPSS/Quantum, SAS, Wincross, flat ASCII, SQL Server, MS Access or Excel, and Oracle. To simplify and streamline data and information exchange, we often establish secure web-based access and/or file transfer (FTP) areas. There, customers can also upload sample files and other information quickly and easily. Finally, FGI has developed new technologies and approaches that accelerate the delivery of field data and integrate directly with customer systems and databases.
